IRVING, Texas. Nov. 29, 2000 - Beginning February
7, North Lake College will offer On Being a "Senior
Adult", a series of seven separate brown-bag workshops.
The series is designed to provide valuable information
on topics of interest to seniors as well as those
who live, work with or care for seniors.
Each workshop is presented by an administrator of
Senior Citizens of Greater Dallas who has expertise
and experience in that particular subject. Some of
the topics included in the series are The Psychology
of Money, Volunteering: To Do or Not to Do, Ageism:
Guilty or Not Guilty, and Managing Caregiver Stress.
Workshops are presented on Wednesday afternoons,
12:30 - 2:30 p.m. beginning February 7. A one-time
fee of $29 admits participants to as many of the two-hour
workshops as they would like to attend. Participants
should bring a lunch; North Lake College will provide
drinks. Registration is ongoing. For more information,
