North Lake College Signs Articulation Agreement with Texas A&M - Commerce for Construction Science Degree

IRVING, Texas. Oct. 31, 2001 - North Lake College and Texas A&M - University in Commerce, Texas, are signing a unique articulation agreement. The agreement provides for the seamless transfer of courses from the college's Applied Sciences Associate Degree in Construction Management and Technology to the university's Bachelor Degree in Construction Science.

The signing ceremony between representatives of the college and university will be held on Thursday, November 15 at the college's DFW Education Center located at 1341 Royal Lane. The location is in the Freeport area, off of Texas 114 and the Freeport exit, close to DFW Airport. The college invites the public to an open house from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., with the signing ceremony at 5:30.

The DFW Education Center is an educational facility developed in partnership with the Construction Education Foundation. The 60,000 sq. ft. building houses classrooms and laboratories providing both management and skill-based education for the construction industry. The facility has been recognized as an exemplary model for providing construction-oriented college programs throughout the United States.
