North Lake College Hosts Career Fair for U.S. Secret Service

IRVING, Texas. Dec. 20, 2001 - North Lake College will host a career fair for the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division on Saturday, January 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fair is one of only two being held in Texas; the other is in Houston. Uniformed Division officers provide protection for the United States President, Vice-President and their immediate families, former Presidents, their spouses and children and others designated by law.

The Secret Service is a federal law enforcement agency with headquarters in Washington, D.C., and over 125 offices throughout the United States and abroad. Job requirements for the Uniformed Division includes U.S. citizenship, at least 21 years of age and younger than 37 at time of appointment, high school diploma or equivalent and excellent health and physical condition. The fair will be in the North Lake College gallery, the lower floor of the "A" building. Secret Service representatives will also provide a short presentation for interested candidates in room A206.
