Groundbreaking for North Lake College North Campus

IRVING, Texas. August 8, 2007 — North Lake College holds its Groundbreaking Ceremony for the North Lake College North Campus on Thursday, August 16, 10:00 a.m. at the site. The new campus location is at the southeast corner of State Highway 121 and Sandy Lake Road in Coppell, Texas. The building will include over 32,000 square feet of instructional spaces and student support services.

Dallas County Community College Chancellor, Dr. Wright Lassiter, will open the ceremony. North Lake President Herlinda Glasscock will speak as well as Coppell Mayor Doug Stover and David Geeslin, Board Chairman of the Coppell Chamber of Commerce.

The North Lake North campus will provide an accessible and affordable alternative for the pursuit of higher education in the high growth area of Northwest Dallas County. The instructional spaces include a state-of-the-art science classroom/lab and computer labs. The campus will deliver a wide array of freshman and sophomore academic transfer courses, developmental courses, and workforce and continuing education classes for professional development and personal growth.
