IRVING, Texas. October 20, 2011 — The North Lake College Theatre department presents its fall production of “The 39 Steps,” a play adapted by Patrick Barlow based on the original John Buchan novel and Alfred Hitchcock film. Barlow’s 2005 farce parodies the original adventure novel and film adaptation, a man-on-the-run spy thriller heavy with puns and allusions to other classic Hitchcock films.
The production is performed by the North Lake College Theatre Company in Performance Hall, under the direction of John Moseley, with Alice Butler taking on production and coaching duties. Performances run nightly at 8:00 p.m. from October 26th through the 29th. Admission is free and open to the public. Call 972-273-3569 for more information.
