A Message of Humor and Hope

Author Ron Moore Visits North Lake
IRVING, Texas- Ron Moore, radio personality, stand-up comedian and creator of the upcoming television show “Life Happens,” will speak at North Lake College Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center.
Moore will share his new book, “Life Happens: How To Keep Swinging When You’ve Taken More Hits Than a Louisville Slugger.” Inside, Moore offers an inspiring message of determination, reminding readers to never give up on their dreams. His philosophy is that in the game of life, no matter what kind of “hit” knocks you down, you always keep swinging.
“I teach developmental reading and many of my students have been knocked down before,” says North Lake faculty member Tamera Ardrey. “Part of what I enjoy doing is building them back up…That’s why I wanted Ron Moore to come speak. I know it will be encouraging.”
From enlivening the audience with his humor, to enlightening them with his helpful tips, Moore promises to delight. North Lake expects a strong turnout from both the students and community alike. The event will end with an audience Q & A session.
