NLC Logistics Information Fair Returns

Coppell campus highlights hot program
 
IRVING, Texas- The North Lake College (NLC) Logistics Technology program will host a Logistics Information Fair on Thursday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college’s North Campus in Coppell. An additional evening session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
 
A chance for visitors to meet the faculty and learn about course offerings, the Logistics Information Fair is a doorway for students and local businesses. According to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, material handling and logistics is one of America's largest and fastest growing industries, employing more than 700,000 workers. The need for logistics professionals in North Texas continues to grow alongside economic and financial globalization.
 
“Many of our students are already working professionals,” explains faculty member Jeffery Wendt. “Our evening and online classes help them maintain a healthy work-school balance.”
 
NLC Logistics Technology course and program offerings include continuing education courses as well as credit courses. Credit classes lead to a Certificate in Logistics Technology or, with additional class hours, a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Logistics Technology.
