The North Lake Teacher Preparation program assists students who plan to become elementary, secondary or special education teachers in either the private or public school system. Some of the support services that the program provides include:
- academic advisement
- activities and programs
- assistance with financial aid resources
By working closely with area colleges and universities, the Teacher Preparation program ensures that students are enrolled in the appropriate courses necessary for transfer to a four-year institution without losing credit hours.
The program also sponsors a club for future teachers. Members volunteer at local schools, participate in school fund-raisers and assist local educational organizations in their endeavors.
