Computer Graphics

Through the art department, computer graphics classes are offered both in the day and the evening. Through these classes, students investigate the computer as an art tool with fine art and commercial art applications.

In addition, both Computer Graphics Degree and Certificates are available to those students wishing to gain occupational skills. Classes include vector and bit-mapped computer graphics, animation, web design, publishing and production, art history, and foundation studio classes.

The computer graphics classes, which are taught through the art department, are held in the K-308 computer lab, a dedicated computer graphics area. Included in this workspace are MAC computers, each with an internal CD and DVD writers, internet access, NLC network access, Wacom tablet with stylus, and speakers. Available in the lab are flatbed scanners, and Epson printers. Software used for the art classes includes Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator. Additional animation and multi-media classes, taught through our video department, are held in a Windows computer graphics lab K316.
