Education and Teaching Experience Summary:

Doctor of Education (Ed.D), specializing in secondary and higher education, curriculum development and supervision; Master of Science degree in Fine Art; Master of Science degree in Higher Education at Texas A&M University-Commerce; and a B.S. degree from The Ohio State University. Experienced art teacher at Collin County Community College (Plano, Texas), Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School, and Skyline High School (Dallas, Texas). A judge at many art exhibits, Docent at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), installed numerous art exhibits and conducted extensive art teacher workshops in the Dallas area. Annual student art judge at Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School and Texas A&M University-Commerce student exhibits, awarding scholarships and cash to art student participants. Have taught hands-on sculpture workshops at the (DMA). Created Docent Tour Guide at the DMA during 2001 "Sculpture: The Art of Henry Moore" exhibit. Well-known painter and sculptor, with art in many private and corporate collections. Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M in Secondary & Higher Education teaching graduate and undergraduate classes in the classroom and via distance education , connecting several campuses together simultaneously. Wrote "Art Appreciation" course syllabus, lesson plans and exams for the LeCroy Dallas TeleCollege Distance Education Center, summer 2004. Experienced in academic and student advising.

Art Exhibit and Judging Activities:

· Judge at Texas A&M University-Commerce "Art Day" of high school students' art portfolios, awarding scholarships and cash each year since 1999
· Sole juror at Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School annual "Student Art Show" between 1999-2004 (next judging scheduled for April 20-21, 2004)
· Docent at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) conducting tours, 1995-present
· Conducted four separate sculpture workshops at DMA during the "Sculpture: The Art of Henry Moore" exhibit, and gave numerous tours during the exhibit, January-March, 2001
· Developed, coordinated and implemented "Sculpture Syncretism" exhibit at the Collin County Community College while Professor of Art, Plano, 2000
· Exhibited own paintings and sculptures in major Dallas art exhibits, including the Dallas Visual Art Center, The Texas Sculpture Association, Collin County Community College annual faculty shows, the Plano Art Association, and the Texas A&M University Graduate Students Exhibit

Art Workshops Conducted:

Developed lectures, curriculum, hands-on workshops and demonstrations in all-day art seminars for 15-20 high school art teachers in Dallas and Plano at the University of Texas at Dallas in July 1999; Frisco, TX, November 2000 and February 2001; and Highland Park, TX, August 2000.
