As an artist, Chris creates mixed media work on paper and panel. Often including three-dimensional objects and areas of texture, she executes thematic works dealing with literature, symbolism, or personal experiences. Her award winning work has appeared both nationally and locally in a variety of shows and juried exhibitions. Her work is also included in a corporate collection. Her writing and illustrations have been published by The Dallas Morning News, North Lake College's Gateways, The Irving News' ARTimes, What Canst Thou Say, and Artist's Magazine.

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit selected Chris to design the North Lake College rail station, which will open in 2012.

Most recently her work has been on exhibit The Center for Spirituality in the Arts (Incarnate Word, San Antonio), The Laredo Arts Center, The ArtCentre of Plano, The Gallery at Guadalupe Arts (Austin, Texas), The Warehouse Living Arts Center (Corsicana, Texas), San Jacinto Tower, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary Gallery, Coppell Arts Center, Unit Instruments, The Bath House Cultural Center, Irving Art Association Center for the Arts, North Lake College, Dallas Visual Arts Center, The Art Annex of Coppell, Mountain View College, The Dallas City Hall, The Bill J. Priest Center, Mountain View College, and Irving Arts Center.

Her work is shown locally at The Carson Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
