Exhibiting artist and museum professional with 12 years of college teaching experience in both studio and art history curriculum. I possess extensive experience in course preparation, lecture, classroom demonstration, budget planning and employee supervision. My aim is to create an environment where the student may freely question and explore issues involving the visual arts, relating this knowledge to their own personal experiences and goals.

Museum Store Manager
Created a museum store environment committed to quality, professionalism and unsurpassed customer service directly impacting institutional image and customer loyalty. Developed a consistent identifiable brand identity for the store resulting in strong customer association between purchase and institution.
Supported the Museum Mission through the sale of publications, gifts and specialty merchandise directly relating the museum's collection and exhibitions.
Coordinated the development of merchandising plans supporting museum exhibitions, programs and events with the appropriate curatorial, administrative, educational, and outreach representatives to facilitate a cohesive institutional image within the retail environment.
Achieved a balanced merchandise mix, appealing to a wide variety of customer interests and income levels, while remaining faithful to the mission of the institution. Purchasing agent for museum store, researching merchandise, preparing orders, negotiating terms, and establishing positive relationships with vendors.
Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of semi annual physical inventory and subsequent inventory reconciliation, interfacing with accounting office representatives and outside auditors during preparation of year-end audit reports. Successfully reduced quantities of obsolete merchandise, resulting in more efficient use of space and an overall lowering of inventory cost.
Responsible for the development and implementation of annual fiscal budgets for both retail and warehouse operations resulting in greater continuity throughout the overall operation. Provided monthly, quarterly and annual sales and inventory reports, profit/loss statements and sales projections.
Organized and operated trade-show booths, providing additional revenue and exposure for museum merchandise and programs.
Responsible for the interview, hire, training, and performance evaluations of all sales staff. Authored and implemented departmental policies and procedures, to include manuals for sales staff.
Directed the opening of a new museum store, doubling both the retail space and merchandise selection. Spearheaded the research, selection and implementation of computerized point-of-sale and inventory management systems, resulting in increased efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
