Admission & Registration

Steps for Enrollment

  1. Apply for Admission (New, Transfer Students)
    You may apply for admission if you are over age 18, or have a high school diploma or have a GED certificate. Other applicants are considered individually. 

    If you have graduated from high school in the last five years, official high school transcrip​ts are required. 

    If you have attended any other college or university, official transcripts are required. (if issued 3 years prior to enrolling, we will need current dated official transcripts). 

    You can either bring them in person in a sealed envelope or ha​ve them mailed to:

  2. Proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination (New, Transfer Students) 
    If you are under 30 years of age you will need to submit proof of your bacterial meningitis vaccination to the Admissions Office (A405) in person or email proof to Registrar-NLC@dcccd.edu.

  3. Complete Assessment Testing (New, Transfer Students)
    If you do not have assessment scores and are not exempt, you must take the DCCCD Assessment before registration. Test times and locations will be posted in the admissions, advising and testing areas. North Lake administers the Accuplacer Test in the College Testing Center. Referral forms are required for testing and can be obtained from the Advising Office or Admissions Office.

  4. Trail Blazer Orientation 
    All students new to college will be required to attend orientation.

  5. Advising (All Students)
    Academic Advisors (A-415) are available throughout the semester to meet with students to discuss educational goals, degree planning and transfer options.  You are encouraged to see an advisor prior to registration. 

  6. Registration (All Students)

    Students that are in good academic standing, with no restrictions will be able to register online.  

  7. Pay Your Tuition (All Students)

    Visit the Cashier's Office (A-416) to pay your tuition by the due date printed on your fee receipt. (Payment Plans are only available for fall and spring semesters) Please see the Financial Aid Office (A-419) if you are receiving grants, scholarships or loans. 

  8. Get Your Student ID and Parking Decal​ (All Students)
    Take your paid fee receipt and a photo ID to receive your student ID card and parking decal in the Student Resource Center (L-240).
