Admission & Registration

Steps for Enrollment

  1. Apply for Admission (New, Transfer Students)
You may apply for admission if you are over age 18, or have a high school diploma or have a GED certificate. Other applicants are considered individually. Visit the North Lake campus and complete the application in person or apply online now.
Note: Students who have attended another college or university must provide a transcript(s).

  2. Complete Assessment Testing (New, Transfer Students)
If you do not have assessment scores and are not exempt, you must take the DCCCD Assessment before registration. Test times and locations will be posted in the admissions, advising and testing areas. North Lake administers the Accuplacer Test in the College Testing Center. Referral forms are required for testing and can be obtained from the Advising Office.

  3. Attend New-To-College Orientation (New, Transfer Students)
Orientation is a program that prepares new students for college and presents information about campus resources, how to prepare for registration and how to access your North Lake College information online through eConnect. Orientation is required for all new college students.

  4. Advising (All Students)
Meet your advisor to discuss your major and educational goals. Please bring copies of transcripts from all colleges attended for an advisor to review.

  5. Registration (All Students)
Once you have met and discussed your goals with an advisor, you can self register on eConnect.

  6. Pay Your Tuition (All Students)
Visit the Cashier's Office (A-416) to pay your tuition by the due date. Please see the Financial Aid Office (A-419) if you are receiving aid.

  7. Get Your Student ID and Parking Decal (All Students)
Take your paid fee receipt and a photo ID to receive your student ID card and parking decal in the Student Resource Center (L-240).
