North Lake College students have the choice to enroll in person or online.
Steps for Enrollment In Person:
- Apply for Admission (New, Transfer Students)
You may apply for admission if you are over age 18, or have a high school diploma or have a GED certificate. Other applicants are considered individually.
If you have graduated from high school in the last five years, official high school transcripts are required.
If you have attended any other college or university, official transcripts are required. (If you last attended school more than three years ago, request a new transcript with a more current date.)
You can either bring them in person in a sealed envelope or have them mailed to:

- Proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination (New, Transfer Students)
If you are under 22 years of age you will need to submit proof of your bacterial meningitis vaccination to the Admissions Office (A405) in person or email proof to DCOAdmissions@dcccd.edu
- Create an eConnect Account. Set up your account by going to www.econnect.dcccd.edu and select "I'm new to eConnect." Use your DCCCD student ID number and email address to create your account.
- Assessment (New, Transfer Students)
After you are admitted, but before registering for your first course at North Lake, you must meet the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI). If you do not have assessment scores and are not exempt, you must take the DCCCD Assessment before registration.
- Trail Blazer Orientation
All students new to college will be required to attend orientation.
- Advising (All Students)
Academic Advisors (A415) are available throughout the semester to meet with students to discuss educational goals, degree planning and transfer options. You are encouraged to see an advisor prior to registration.
- Registration (All Students)
Students that are in good academic standing, with no restrictions will be able to register online.
- Pay Your Tuition (All Students)
Visit the Cashier's Office (A416) to pay your tuition by the due date printed on your fee receipt. (Payment Plans are only available for fall and spring semesters) Please see the Financial Aid Office (A419) if you are receiving grants, scholarships or loans.
- Get Your Student ID and Parking Decal (All Students)
Take your paid fee receipt and a photo ID to receive your student ID card and parking decal in the Student Resource Center (L240).
New, Re-Admit and Transfer Students Online Services
If you prefer, you can do the steps of enrollment and/or register online.
College or University Transient Students Online Services
Students enrolled in a university who would like to take courses at North Lake College for Wintermester or Summer Sessions, and then transfer the courses back to their home college/university, can follow all the enrollment steps above online
. Our convenient online service means you don't have to send proxies to enroll or register at NLC.
