Applying for Financial Aid

Apply for admission to North Lake College before mailing your financial aid forms. You must apply for financial aid each year. Most types of financial aid require you to be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester. Application packets are available at the Financial Aid Office or on the Internet at

www.fafsa.ed.gov

Complete either the online application or a paper Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form available from Financial Aid and mail to the address provided in the application. Do not mail to North Lake College.

After applying, you will receive a request for information letter or an award letter.

Apply early. Awards are granted on a first completed – first awarded basis. Applications for grants, loans, and work-study programs need to be started 10-12 weeks before the start of the semester. Please use the following deadlines when applying for financial aid:

If you qualify for financial aid, you must maintain DCCCD Financial Aid Standards of Progress during your enrollment at North Lake College.
