Admissions & Registration
Filing a Degree or Certificate Plan
You should file a degree plan request towards the end of your first semester of enrollment. Degree plan requests are not normally processed for students who have no credits earned with us. If you are receiving Veterans' benefits or are enrolling as an international student, please check with your Veterans or International advisor regarding procedures for filing your degree plan request.

All previous college credit transcripts, for work complete outside the DCCCD campuses, must be on file with the Admissions office at the time you request a degree plan.

When you choose your degree program, you must choose the appropriate catalog year. Each catalog year is active for five academic years. If you do not complete your specified program within the time allowed for the catalog year, you will have to reapply on a new catalog year. You must have enrolled in a credit course during the catalog year you have chosen for your plan. Additionally, the program for which you apply must be offered by our campuses in the catalog year you are eligible.

Degree and certificate requirements do change from time to time. The College reserves the right to modify curricula or to make changes as appropriate. If changes are made to your program after you file for your plan, you should work closely with advisors, program faculty, and degree audit staff to find the best way to meet your requirements.

You, the student, have the ultimate responsibility to select and register for courses meeting your graduation requirements.
