(formerly Office Technology)

BOSS ProgramThe BOSS program is an intensive, eight-week program, providing more than just "point and click" computer instruction. It’s like an office skills "boot camp" that produces good employees who possess skills in computer use, time management and customer service.

The program consists of 196 hours of computer instruction (eight 24-hour courses) and 12 hours of job skills (one week-long course). Students who successfully complete the program requirements are invited to participate in a graduation ceremony in December.

Computer classes are two weeks in length (eight class sessions) and held in the evening on Monday through Thursday. The BOSS program includes the following computer courses:

  • Introduction to Computers
  • Introduction to Internet/Email
  • Introduction to Keyboarding
  • Introduction to MS Powerpoint
  • Introduction to MS Word
  • Introduction to MS Excel

In addition, the Job Search and Employments Skills seminar class is the final course of the program. This seminar class lasts for four days, Monday through Thursday evening. Topics for the seminar class include: job search skills, vocational testing, time management, resume writing and interview skills.

The next session begins on May 11, 2009 and ends on August 20, 2009. Please call 972-273-3386 for more information.
