In memory: Diane Clemons
North Lake College student Diane J. Clemons, 50, of Irving,
died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003.
Mrs. Clemons was a member of the North Lake College Show
Choir and was returning home from choir practice when
she suffered a fatal heart attack.
According to friends, Mrs. Clemons decided to take “some
time for herself” after working for several years,
and enrolled in music classes at North Lake. Choir members
described her as “fun to be around and good natured.”
Karen Moyer, director of the NLC Show Choir, said that
Mrs. Clemons was making “great progress” as
a singer and that she will be sorely missed by all the
choir members.
Mrs. Clemons is survived by her husband William Clemons,
son Daniel Clemons and daughter Jacqueline, all of Irving.
A memorial service was held at Donnelly’s Colonial
Chapel on Feb. 18.
A fund benefiting the Clemons family has been set up at
North Lake College. Donations may be made at the cashier’s
office to: The Diane Clemons Memorial Fund.
Checks should be made payable to North Lake College.
