Parking decals help students
By Jane Ingles
Staff Writer In 2003, North Lake College's
Police Department started issuing student decals
on a volunteer basis. The purpose behind this
program is to identify your vehicle in an emergency,
accident, etc. For example, if your car was broken
into and you had the decal on your car, the police
would be able to track you down on campus. This
semester, more than 350 decals were distributed
the first week of school.
North Lake's Police Department would also like
to remind you that parking on the grass, or in
fire lanes, reserved areas that require a specific
decal and in loading zones are all prohibited
and you will be issued a citation.
Decals are available to all students, Monday through
Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Police Department,
C-204, or call 972-273-3300.
