With the baseball season out in full swing, many people have been wondering, “How will the Blazers get out of their recent slump?”

The answer to this question, says Blazer head coach Steve Cummings, is determination.
“We have been doing pretty well considering the opponents that we have had to face,” he said.

“Most of the teams that we have faced have been in the top 20 in the nation, and the only thing I can ask of my team is to keep playing hard.

“We just don’t have the depth in pitching that we would like to have this year,” said Cummings. “But what we lack in pitching we make up in determination and not just one player stands out from the rest. We have a number of players that play hard from game to game.”

The next Blazers home game is Friday, April 2 at 2 p.m., against Cedar Valley College.
