The N-R's opinion on recent campus happenings

Thumbs DownTHUMBS DOWN to the lack of directional maps around campus.
It’s bad enough that the exterior signage is minimal, but once inside the school, it’s like the blind leading the blind if you are a newcomer. Even the radio station prankster wasn’t able to find his way around! He was headed in the direction of a humanities class when he ended up in Dr. Long’s speech class.

Thumbs UpTHUMBS UP to the art department.
For the fifth year in a row, an art student from North Lake College is the winner of the Farmer’s Market calendar contest. No other college in the DCCCD has received this distinction. Congratulations! Good luck and keep the streak going. (See News & Notes.)

Thumbs DownTHUMBS DOWN to trash in the parking lot.
Cigarette butts, fast food bags and cups do not add to our campus ambiance. Please be responsible and use a garbage bin... your mother doesn’t work here. And if she does, she doesn’t want to pick it up.

Thumbs UpTHUMBS UP to the generous people who have donated to Santa Bucks.
On any given day, the news lab looks like a yard sale thanks to the generous donations of the faculty and staff. Every day, Lolly takes a load of generous contributions from the lab to one of two storage rooms to store until the Dec. 1 event. We greatly appreciate all of your generous contributions. If you would like to donate something to Santa Bucks, bring it to A-260.
