Upcoming concerts have something for everyone

The Best of Both Worlds hit the American Airlines Center Oct. 13, and the smooth-flowing Jay Z and R Kelly delivered pure energy.

Now, I love R Kelly, but I don’t think the stage is a place for him to vent about his sex scandals that have recently had him tied up in court. We paid to see a performance, not a case.

Although they only performed one song together, “Fiesta,” the fans didn’t seem to mind. Look for the sequel to the CD The Best of Both Worlds to hit the stores soon.

The legendary band Metallica will team up with Godsmack at the AAC on Nov. 17. I heard the new drummer, Robert Trujillo, is better than the first – but I like hip-hop, so I’m all about beats.

Oh, and by the way, no laser pens, cameras or recorders.

If you’re not into loud music and you prefer to be serenaded, the ultimate Grammy and Tony award-winning Barry Manilow will perform many of his greatest hits Nov.5.

The tickets? Try $21.75 to $135.50.

I wonder if Oprah can spot me a couple?
