Dear Editor,
I just picked up the latest edition of the News-Register and I realized, once again, what a tremendous student newspaper we have.

Congratulations to the News-Register staff on your achievement of the Pacemaker Award. Only three in Texas, and North Lake College is right there with them!

My warmest congratulations to Tom Ritchey and the rest of the staff.
You do, indeed, set the pace for others!

Dear Editor,
I am writing this e-mail to appreciate the honesty of students in the college.

A few nights back I lost my cell phone here in the parking lot of the college near the T building.

I was frantic and called it repeatedly. A student named Hector answered it and said that he would be in college this week. I met him today and thanked him profusely for his help. He was very nonchalant about it and said no problem.

I was amazed at his honesty. This cell phone was a brand new one and was very expensive.

I am glad and lucky to be a student of this college.
