Relay, garage sale coming up

Last year, North Lake was honored to host the American Cancer Society‘s Irving Relay for Life on our campus. North Lake had four teams last year and this year we can do even more.

Join Phi Theta Kappa and the Student Government Association in creating teams. If you are a club or group that would like to form a team for the May 20 event, contact Jimmy Taylor at jtaylor35us@yahoo.com or stop by the SPAR office, A-223, for more information.

Jimmy is an alumni of North Lake and is in charge of training new team captains this year. If you want more information about American Cancer Society Relay for Life, you may visit their Web site, located at www.cancer.org.

Phi Theta Kappa members are gathering supplies for our annual trip to visit Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. A box for craft supplies and small toys is located outside the SPAR Office.

General meetings are at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays in A-206.

On March 11, we will host our once-a-month 6:30 p.m. general meeting. The meeting will be in A-206. No general meetings will be held on March 17 and 25.

Alpha Zeta Eta will be having a charity garage sale on Saturday, March 19 (location to be announced). Money is being raised for scholarships and a literacy grant.

If you have anything you would like to donate during your “spring cleaning” over spring break or before, please contact me at david_e_olmstead@ptk.org
