The N-R's opinion on recent campus happenings

How many times have you gone to a vending machine to satisfy your caffeine or sugar urge and the machine spits your dollar back at you? Or worse, it doesn’t even take it at all?

The correct amount in coins is what the machine wants, but where do you go to get change?

Let’s see ... there’s Subway... Follett Bookstore... the Cashier’s Office on the fourth floor ... oh, just forget it.

A change machine on campus could make our lives so much better.

Image of Thumbs UpTHUMBS UP to Chamberlin’s brick workers.
Neither rain, snow, sleet or hail stopped Chamberlin’s brick workers from completing their job on the gym. And what a boring job that had to be every day! Same ol’ red brick day in and day out, week after week, month after month. But the Neil Johnston Gymnasium looks like brand new on the outside, and we know that their hard work also means the leaks are gone inside.

Wet floors and running basketball players don’t mix well, as our Blazers found out at Brookhaven a few weeks ago.

Thanks, Chamberlin, for a job well done.

School spirit got a real boost last week when the Blazer Bells attended the men’s basketball home game against Cedar Valley.

Organized by Judy Keller, a North Lake employee who puts together activities for North Lake staffers, the Blazer Bells cheered on the men’s basketball team to victory.

Way to go, Bells. You’re awesome!

How long is it going to take to replace the six lights that are out in the parking lot in front of the tennis courts? Just wondering.
