DART station arriving

DART is planning to expand its light rail service between the Las Colinas Urban Center and DFW International Airport with a station at North Lake.

A public scoping meeting will be held at the University of Dallas, Haggar University Center, on Wednesday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. More information is being made available through each learning center. Participation in this process is encouraged.

The hillside below the IISD Academy will see reclamation beginning next week. For the past two years, we have used the area as a sediment basin for dredging the canal and as a soils holding area during our major site work. The area will be restored to its natural state within a month.

The new south parking lot is nearing completion and will be ready for use by fall session. The north parking lot and new fi re lane project is scheduled to start later in the fall.

Elevators in F, H and T buildings will undergo major mechanical and cab retrofits starting in late July. They will be taken out of service on a phased schedule towards completion in October.

The waterproofing bids for P, H & K are in and being evaluated.

In the time since May 1, we have moved as quickly as possible to complete a large volume of interior work.

The next month will see completion of several projects and start up of more.
