Police Beat:Rash of vehicle
burglaries hits NLC area
Did you know that in every NLC hallway there
is at least one emergency call box? Not many students
are aware of this, so Chief Chris Drake has implemented
a signage campaign.
Above every call box is a large red sign that
reads,“ EMERGENCY PHONE, AUTODIAL, POLICE
WILL RESPOND.”
Emergency call boxes in the parking lots are
set on poles and accented with bright blue lights.
Parking
Finally, NLC has expanded parking. The new southwest
parking lot is located by the T Building, and
there are 423 new spaces available. According
to Chief Drake there should not be any reason
for students to park in the grass this semester.
If students are found violating parking regulations,
they will be subject to a citation.
So, come on guys, let’s utilize the new
parking instead of parking in the grass just because
it is closer to your class.
Good-byes
Just
as Officer Chris Lance was awarded Officer of
the Year, we discovered he was leaving the NLCPD.
So, good luck, Chris, in your new role as Inspector
Gadget with the Flower Mound Police Department.
We will miss you.
