Art Faculty Exhibition on display
Thirty-six works of art from full-time and adjunct faculty who teach visual art are on display in the Gallery through Nov. 8. The show includes minimalist charcoal graphics to functional ceramic pieces, to traditional oil paintings to a variety of mixed media works.

The artists who contributed to the show include Steven Benezue, Byron Black, Leisa Corbett, Carol Cook, Patsy Eldridge, Nancy Ferro, Thomas Feulmer, Chris Fulmer, Merry Fuhrer, Kazuko Goto, Erin Guy, Richard Miller, Bob Nunn, Eric Orr, Melodee Ramirez, Marty Ray and Elaine Taylor.


Instructor to talk about art in Italy
Art instructor Chris Fulmer, who is this year ‘s President ‘s Scholar, will relate her experience of living and creating art in Italy in a presentation Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. in K-216.

“Art Experiences in Italy: Living in Florence,” is open to all students and staff. The artwork, which Fulmer created in Italy during the summer of 2005, is on display in the Gallery in the Faculty Exhibition.


Photography Show & Student Art Sale
Mark your calendar for two upcoming events: The annual Photography Show opens Nov. 9 in the Gallery with a reception Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m., and the Student Art Sale will take place Nov. 30 in the bookstore/cafeteria foyer.


Dance Concert Nov. 17-18
The North Lake Dance students will hold their annual concert Nov. 17-18 in the Performance Hall at 7 p.m. Choreographed by instructor Brenda Parker, the students will perform a variety of dance styles. Admission is free.


Amateur Night returning Nov. 9
Practice your dancing and sharpen those singing notes because the annual Amateur Night returns to campus next month. The event will be held Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. Contact Drena Settles in the SPAR office at 972-273-3597 for more information or to sign up.
