Lake Takes

The N-R’s opinion on recent campus happenings.

THUMBS DOWNTHUMBS DOWN to discrimination in the campus restrooms..
Why is it that the C- Building restrooms have hygienic toilet seat covers and none of the other restrooms have them? Is it because it’s a newer building, or because it’s a science area with more germs?

We don’t know about you, but the T-Building restrooms look pretty germy to us and could use some sanitary help. In fact, ALL the restrooms should have the same products, don’t you think?

It’s not like we’re asking for room deodorizers, fresh flowers or anti-bacterial soap. We just don’t think it’s fair that restrooms on campus aren’t equal.

THUMBS UPTHUMBS UP to free theater performances on campus.
Looking for a quality evening out with your best girl or best guy but your funds are limited? Well, look no further than your college campus.

For almost 30 years, NLC has been putting on plays in the college’s Performance Hall and has never charged a dime. Picnic is opening this week with a talented cast, great costumes, and a lifelike set.

Make dinner reservations for 6:30 p.m., because the curtain rises at 8 p.m.

THUMBS DOWNTHUMBS DOWN to cars that are parked crooked.
OK, what’s the problem? You’ve got white lines to guide your car perfectly into a space, allowing enough room on either side for your door to open without hitting another vehicle, yet many of you continue to park over the line.

We know you pull in and jump out quickly because you’re late for class, but try to be a little bit more considerate of others.

THUMBS UPTHUMBS UP to the return of the trophy case
The gym is really looking snazzy these days. The mascot’s been painted on the floor, the walls have got a fresh coat of paint, the gym floor has been fixed, and now the trophy case has been installed! What a nice showplace for our college!
