Picnic brings 1950s
to North Lake

Cast and crew in place for opening of William
Inge play
North Lake Theatre Director Alice Butler has
busily helped 12 of her students prepare for the
North Lake debut of William Inge’s Picnic.
A preview of the performance will take place
on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m., with the play’s
run lasting from Oct. 26 through Oct. 29. Curtain
time is 8 p.m. The NLC Performance Hall is in
building P, and admittance is free.
Students and instructors have transformed the
stage with extensive construction and lighting.
Period costumes will add to the experience. Bring
on the audience!
