THUMBS DOWNTHUMBS DOWN to the constant beeping and clicking in the clasroom.
There's a time and a place for everything, and the classroom is not the time or the place to text message your boyfriend or answer your cell phone.

Just what is so important in your life that you interrupt a professor's lecture and annoy his attentive audience?

If you're not waiting for a call from your child's school or the results of your lab work or the status of a loved one's health, then stay off the phone.

Or give us all a break and take it outside.

THUMBS UPTHUMBS UP to those bright lights in the new parking lot.
The cement was barely dry on phase I of the parking upgrade when we noticed that bright lights were shining down on the cars.

Thanks for this much needed safety item. It was a little scary out there after a 9:25 p.m. class.

THUMBS DOWNTHUMBS UP to The Dallas Morning News for sending complimentary daily copies of its paper for NLC students.
The N-R hopes the pilot program encourages students to develop the newspaper habit.

When a water main break canceled classes on a Friday and Monday, it was a fourday weekend for all of us.

But the added bonus for these days off was the warm weather.
