Top ten films of 2005

Top ten lists and award predictions abound at this time of year. A lot of the lists look the same, and with good reason. There are usually only ten or twenty stellar films released each year.

There are dozens of great films and probably a hundred pleasantly entertaining films. What follows is a list of films I think are the overall best of 2005.

They are listed in order of my preference.
