Five Ideas for Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day - people either love it or hate
it. Whether you're in a relationship or you're
single, there is usually someone special that
you could buy for. Figuring out what to get that
special someone is the hard part.
I decided to do some research to get an idea
of what guys and gals not only would like to get
for the holiday but would also appreciate.
Besides the material things that would make
us all happy, I threw in some ideas of where to
eat, what to do and what Valentine-appropriate
movie to take your date to.
For the guys, I found that they tend to want
something that is more useful; i.e., practical
rather than something that will be of no use other
than to collect dust. Gals, on the other hand,
appreciate the useful things, too, but the sentimental
value placed on gifts for this particular, holiday
is particulary important.
As far as places to eat, I chose a variety of
different types of food. Most of the places are
moderately priced, some higher than others, but
each place offers a sort of quaint atmosphere
that is perfect for the occasion.
If gifts and food are not enough, take your date
to the Nasher Sculpture Garden in Dallas. Maybe
they would appreciate a quiet stroll through an
outdoor garden instead. Maybe the perfect ending
to the evening would be sharing a bag of popcorn
at a romantic movie.
