Blazers in 3rd place in Metro Athletic Conference

The North Lake Blazer basketball team overcame questionable officiating and a tough-as-nails Eastfield side to win 88-78 on Feb. 22.

Played at NLC, the game saw the Blazers take soul possession of third place in the MAC. This gives them a great chance at having home court advantage in the upcoming MAC Tournament.

Both teams raced up and down the court, displaying impressive offensives. The Blazers got into foul trouble in the early going. The referees called ten team fouls on North Lake in the first eight minutes of the game. The Blazers lead at halftime with a score of 48-47.

The second half was much like the first. No matter what Eastfield threw at the Blazers, North Lake always had an answer. With an emphatic fast break slam dunk with 1.5 seconds remaining, North Lake sealed the victory with the final score of 88-78.
