men’s basketball team. The Blazers finally
captured the Metro Athletic conference (MAC)
post-season tournament title on Mar. 6, after
being season conference co-champion in the previous

history, the men’s basketball team clinched
the 2006 National Junior College Athletic Association
(NJCAA) Division III title at the championship

Listening Boxes provide good feedback

the beginning of the spring semester,
North Lake began placing “Listening Boxes” at
various places around campus which provide
students and faculty alike the opportunity
to express whatever concerns, suggestions
or compliments they might have. Though
the project has just begun, it has already
produced encouraging results that have
the members of North Lake’s administration

Faculty panel returns for annual
discussion

issues that get under their skin.
For the second semester, Liberal Arts
will host another symposium, this one
entitled “The State of Education
in America.” It will be held on
Monday, April 10, in the Gallery. Discussion
will start at 1:30 p.m., and it is open
to anyone who wants to contribute or
just listen.

owner was found dead Feb. 19 in southeast
Oak Cliff. Byron Hendrix, 34, was
finishing his last semester in video
technology. Students of the program
