Celebrating diversity at North Lake

International Day planned for April 7 in the Courtyard

One of North Lake’s most celebrated days on campus is the annual International Day.

Held every year in the Courtyard, the event celebrates the college’s diverse population. Cultures and traditions of students and staff from other countries are shared with others through clothing, artwork, food, music and dance.
Tables are set up, and clubs may use the event as a fundraiser. Those interested should contact the SPAR office and reserve a table no later than one week prior to the event (March 31).

Another highlight is the fashion show, where students wear traditional clothing of their native countries. There will also be games from around the world beginning at 11:15 a.m. until 1 p.m.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Courtyard will be filled with lots of activity.

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be an International Gala in the Performance Hall.

For more information, contact the SPAR office at 972-273-3020, or the International Center at 972-273-3155.
Everyone is invited to attend this celebration of cultures.
