Be a part of a walking
float July 4
If you love the feeling you get from volunteering,
then helping Alpha Zeta Eta is where you want
to be this summer. We need you to help with our
activities.
You don’t have to be in Phi Theta Kappa
to be a part of these great leadership projects.
We have a July 4th project where we plan to help
educate Irving residents on the amount of trash
collected in our city by participating in the
parade as a walking float.
We also plan to do a couple of car washes and
a campus-wide cigarette butt pick up.
Phi Theta Kappa’s new service initiative
is Operation Green; therefore, over the next
two years we will be making a difference on our
campus and in our community by partnering with
Keep Irving Beautiful and North Lake’s
Environmental Club. Our new Honor Study Topic
is “Gold, Gods and Glory; The Global Dynamics
of Power.” This means that we will have
a very diverse year with some great leadership
opportunities.
One project we are working this summer is a research
paper about the California Gold Rush. We will
explore the impact that women had on a national
level.
