North Lake’s got talent

Theater and choir programs search
for student performers

North Lake College students with an interest in the stage have two opportunities to expand their performance skills and have some fun with important meeting dates approaching.

North Lake Theatre's lab is holding a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5 in the Performance Hall at P-302.

Students who want to perform with NLC's well-established program this semester will not want to miss this important gathering.

Ambition and dedication are important traits for student actors. Talent can be developed while working with Director Alice Butler and her team of instructors.

The theater company waits until it has a chance to gauge the number of students interested and their interests before it decides what piece of work will be performed.

For additional information about North Lake Theatre, please contact Alice Butler in P-227 or at abutler@ dcccd.edu.

Vocal talent wanted
If you are interested in singing, the North Lake Chorale will begin rehearsals for it's third season on Monday, Aug. 28. The college choir is also open to the public. Currently, all voice parts are needed.

This season, the choir will be performing a concert called, “A Night in Old Vienna,” which will include Mozart's Misericordias Domini, Ave Verum Corpus, and Laudate Dominum, as well as The Heaven's are Telling and Haydn's Little Organ Mass.

Students interested may contact Allan Andrews, North Lake's director of choirs, at 972-273-3277.
