SGA
elections nearing
Campaigning slated to begin Sept. 5
North Lake College's
Student Government
Association was instituted
in order to make a difference and
build a stronger educational institution.
The purpose and mission of
the organization is to represent, to communicate with, act upon, and
ensure student rights and needs,
concerns, and social well-being to
the administration of North Lake
College.
Student body officers are elected
by the entire student body at the beginning
of each fall semester, with
terms running through August of
the following year until new elections
are held. Upon acceptance
into the college, every
student automatically
becomes a member of
the Student Government
Association. All
students are encouraged
to become active
members and Student
Body officers, so
that the Association is
a true representative
body of student thought and opinion,
voicing the needs and concerns
of our student body.
All potential candidates are required
to submit a completed Application
for Student Government
form to the Student
Programs and Resources
Office, A-223,
by Friday, September
1st at 4:30 p.m.. Applications
are available in
the S.P.A.R. Office.
Officer Election
Campaign Week will
be held Tuesday, September
5 through
Thursday, September 14. Online
voting for all candidates will be
held Friday and Saturday, September
15 and 16. All students may log
on under eConnect in order to submit
their vote.
All Student Body officer positions
are to be obtained by a sponsored
campaign and registered
