Phi Theta Kappa will host the
Healthy Halloween Fall Carnival
on campus on Oct. 28. The event
offers a safe alternative to other
Halloween traditions.
Dr. Yolanda Romero, Phi Theta
Kappa's faculty sponsor at North
Lake, said that the event is open to
all students.
She encourages students to bring
their younger siblings or children as
well.
In addition to food, games, prizes
and a magic show, Fishing for
Comets will perform.
Fishing for Comets consists of
former North Lake students Camille
Cortinas, Sam Romero, Eric
Swanson and John Solis.
The Dallas Observer has recognized
the band in its annual music
awards, and Fishing for Comets
received the most votes in the folk
acoustic category.
To promote healthy lifestyles,
Phi Theta Kappa will offer flu shots
for $30.
Those attending can also find
information on bone marrow donation
and massage therapy.
The carnival will take place
from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the patio
and in the courtyard and cafeteria. |
