“Bus Stop” coming to North Lake's theater
“Bus Stop,” the three-act romance by William Inge, comes to the stage of North Lake College March 6-9. Admission is free.

A snowstorm strands bus passengers overnight in a roadside diner in a small Midwest town, 30 miles west of Kansas City. The weary travelers include a nightclub singer named Cherie who's been kidnapped by a cowboy who won't take “no” for an answer to marriage, a bus driver who renews an old friendship with the diner's owner, a middle-aged scholar who must face up to his past, and a small town girl who gets her first taste of romance.

Inge's American Classic will be directed by Alice Butler.
