ART PORTFOLIO
WINNERS

At the end of the fall semester each year, NLC art students are given the opportunity to submit artwork to the art department for judging. Students either submit a portfolio, which contains fi ve to six pieces of art that represent the breadth of the student's best work, or single pieces for consideration.

Before the start of the spring semester, the art department faculty jury the pieces for awards and competitions. This year North Lake faculty reviewed 17 portfolios and 30 individual pieces.

Combining ratings along with consideration of outstanding participation within the NLC art department, the faculty is proud to announce the following awards:

Cecil Wallace Fordham Outstanding Art Student Award — $400: Elza Guedes.

NLC Outstanding Art Portfolio Excellence Award — $200: Kapil Dixit

NLC Art Portfolio Commendation Awards – $150:
