Lake Takes
The N-R’s
opinion on
recent campus
happenings.
THUMBS
DOWN to no Student Recognition Day.
It’s bad enough North Lake
College doesn’t have a Student
Government Association this
semester, but taking away the
one day that student academic
achievements are recognized
is a low blow.

THUMBS UP to the Earth
Day celebration.
Local band Vocal Trash
made Earth Day the most
exciting day of the semester.
Incorporating stomp beats,
oldies and rock ‘n roll into
their own type of music made
students and faculty alike feel
the beats from head to toe.
THUMBS
DOWN to
the handicap
ramp being handicapped.
If one follows the sidewalk/crosswalks that exit the south CBuilding
area and cross them
heading into the west parking lot,
two things are icky.
- The first step down from the
sidewalk to the crosswalk has no
ramp.
- Continuing on across the
lot, following the crosswalks,
another ramp leads right into a
parking space. The crosswalk is
to the right of the space, but it is
extremely difficult to get to the
crosswalk when a car is parked in
the spot.
Special to the News-Register
THUMBS UP
to the beautiful
grounds on
campus.
The bluebonnets were an
added treat to our already
beautiful landscape.
Hats off to the groundskeepers
who keep everything
mowed and watered and edged
and trimmed.
You make us look good.
