Police Beat:
Tornadoes? NLC has a plan in place
On Tuesday, April 24,
students and faculty
experienced more than
just a drill.
It was the real thing.
North Texas was hit by a barrage
of inclement weather, including
tornadoes and floods. Luckily,
our school has got a plan in place.
If you are in the building and
an interior evacuation is signaled
by sirens over the college's P.A.,
the following areas have been
designated as safe spots: P-207,
P-213, P-219, P-235, P-239 (arena
theatre), P-249 (choir room), P-250
(television studio), T-114, T-123, T-
148, F-102 (girls' locker room), or
F-106 (weight room). The campus
police will announce
an "all clear" when
it is safe to return to
classes.
In the case of inclement
weather, students
will be notified
by listening to television
and radio stations,
calling one of the main
numbers for NLC or logging onto
the NLC Web site at northlakecollege.
edu.
If you have any questions regarding
emergency evacuations
and school closure procedure, visit
the college Police Department at
C-204 or call 972-273-
3302.
