THUMBS
UP to hosting
International
Day in the Courtyard.
Last year the International
Day celebration was brought
indoors to the cafeteria area
because of the wet weather.
Space was tight, and the event
lost a bit of its luster. But this
year the event was able to
spread its wings in the Courtyard
with a fashion show, free
food and booths that represented
numerous countries.
Th e energy was high, and so
was the participation.
THUMBS
DOWN to
excess PDA on
campus.
Come on guys, really? We’re
not in middle school anymore.
The public display of
affection on campus needs to
stop. All of us here at the N-R
don’t like to see it and I’m sure
that everyone else on campus
could live without it. We’re
big guys and gals now. Leave
it at home.
THUMBS UP
to the student
art show.
More than 200 pieces of art
including 3-D, 2-D, ceramics,
watercolor, acrylic and oil
pieces have swarmed the Gallery.
Th ere’s a little something
down there for everyone. Oh,
and all the works are done by
your fellow NLC students.
It’s our favorite exhibit of
the year.
THUMBS
DOWN to
people who
abuse other people’s
vehicles.
We know the spaces are
tight and finding a good parking
spot on campus is tough,
but watch out when you get
out of your car. No one likes
to finish off a stressful day to
find a huge ding in their door.
Let’s be a little more courteous
to the cars on campus.
