Applying for Services

New Students
Before Semester Begins

  • Go to Welcome Center and register for Freshman Orientation.
  • Attend Freshman Orientation.
  • Apply for admission at the Admissions Office.
  • Pick up an advising form from the Academic Advising Office.
  • Apply for financial aid at the Financial Aid Office (if you are a TRC client or seeking Financial Aid).
  • Complete the top portion of the advising form. Include classes you are considering taking. (You must complete this form before seeing a counselor at Disability Services.)
  • Make an appointment to see a counselor at the Disability Services Office.
  • Meet with the counselor. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time to complete appropriate paperwork. Be sure to bring documentation of your disability, NLC course schedule book and your advising form.

Returning Students

  • Fill out an advising form, including the classes you are considering taking. You must do this before seeing a counselor at Disability Services.
  • Make an appointment with a counselor at the Disability Services Office.
  • Meet with the counselor. Arrive at least 15 minutes before appointment time to complete appropriate paperwork. Be sure to bring your completed advising form.
