The North Lake College Counseling Center provides professional assistance to current students with personal issues that may affect academic success and quality of life. Counseling services are FREE and available by appointment, or by dropping in A311 (depending on counselor availability).
The North Lake College Fitness Center is the perfect place to get in shape year 'round. The Center is equipped with a full line of weight machines, free weights, Stairmasters, treadmills and programmable stationary cycles. You must be 18 years of age or a North Lake credit student to use the Fitness Center.
The Health Center is a multi-purpose facility that promotes health, wellness and preventive care for the college community. Registered nurses coordinate and provide a variety of health services.
The North Lake Aquatic Center is equipped with a removable roof and serves as both an indoor and outdoor facility. The fifty-meter pool is temperature controlled and fully equipped with a teaching pool, chair lift and handicapped entry/exit ramps. A student or faculty/staff ID card, annual pass or daily fee is required in order to use the North Lake College Natatorium. The aquatic center is jointly owned by the City of Irving, the Irving Independent School District, and the Dallas County Community College District.
Our Behavior Intervention Team works to identify and help students showing signs of mental or emotional distress. BIT provides guidance, support, and needed care on a case-by-case basis, and helps keep the North Lake community safe.
