Santa Bucks returns December 3

SantaBucks12.jpgOn Wednesday, December 3, Santa Bucks returns to North Lake College!
A one-day charitable event best described as part flea market and part shopping spree, this popular holiday tradition will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on the Central Campus in the Student Life Center Multipurpose Room (H226).

After presenting a student I.D. and signing in at the cashier's station, student shoppers are given $30 in "currency". They are free to browse through the campus marketplace of gently-used items, and make purchases using their Santa Bucks.

Throughout the year, students, faculty, and staff at North Lake donate items to the Santa Bucks program. These donations help students who are challenged by the costs of attending school and paying for basics such as transportation, childcare, food, and clothing. Santa Bucks was started to give such disadvantaged students an opportunity to do Christmas shopping for themselves and their families.
