Tip of the Week: Take Action
1% For The Planet (FTP), is a coalition of companies
who've pledged to donate 1% of their sales to environmental
groups around the world. Since its inception in
2002, 1% FTP has become one of the largest funders
of environmental work around the globe.
Membership
consists of more than 850 businesses in 27 countries,
together giving over $12 million annually to almost
1,500 environmental groups worldwide. Support the
1% FTP program by patronizing member companies.

- North Lake’s Native Garden provides a beautiful,
hardy, drought-resistant, low maintenance landscape while benefiting
the environment.
- All storm water at NLC is captured in our 3.5-acre
lake and recycled for irrigation.
- Computer labs at NLC are all programmed to power
down at the end of the day to conserve electricity.
- For the past 4 years, all new carpet at NLC is
both made of post-consumer recycled content and sent for recycling
during all replacement programs.
