Fall to Fall Retention Rate

The fall to fall retention rate represents the percentage of students enrolled in one fall semester who are also enrolled in the next fall semester. It is compared to a benchmark established by the National Community College Benchmark Program. Since 2012-12, retention rates have been below the benchmark of 46%, but have steadily increased by about 1% over the past four years. For 2016-17, the rate was 8% below the benchmark.
