In Course Success – College-Level

In course success for college-level courses is defined as the completion of a course with a grade of A, B, or C. Success rates of college-level face-to-face courses and distance learning courses are compared to a benchmark established by the National Community College Benchmark Program. The success rates for face to face courses were slightly below the benchmark of 72% for Fall 2014 at 70% and Fall 2015 at 71%, but surpassed the benchmark by at least 2% in Fall 2016 at 74% and Fall 2017 at 75%. The success rates of distance learning courses were below the benchmark for Fall 2014 through Fall 2017, but rates have steadily increased. For Fall 2017, the rate is 6% below the benchmark.
