In Course Success – College-Level

In course success for college-level courses is defined as the completion of a course with a grade of A, B, or C. Success rates of college-level face-to-face courses and distance learning courses are compared to a benchmark established by the National Community College Benchmark Program. The success rates for face to face courses were slightly below the benchmark of 72% for Fall 2014 and Fall 2015, but have surpassed the benchmark since Fall 2016, and the success rate for Fall 2018 is 74%, which is 2% above the benchmark. The success rates of distance learning courses were below the benchmark of 72% from Fall 2014 through Fall 2018, but rates have steadily increased. For Fall 2018, the rate is 67%, which is 5% below the benchmark.
